The Senior Research Fellow – Metabolism will conduct research in the area of metabolism focused on health and disease (eg protein/lipid/carbohydrate metabolism as they relate to health and disease; diabetes/obesity; sarcopenia; neuromuscular disease). Examples of current project areas include: regulation of skeletal muscle and liver metabolism in diabetes and obesity; regulation of skeletal muscle protein synthesis during ageing; characterising cancer metabolism; regulation of metabolism in motor neuron disease and muscular dystrophy
