Senior Research Fellow-Implementation Science

Deakin University recently re-designated the Centre for Physical Activity and Nutrition Research (CPAN) as a research institute, the Institute for Physical Activity and Nutrition (IPAN).  IPAN is a multidisciplinary research institute spanning biomedical, clinical and population health research with world class expertise in both nutrition and physical activity. IPAN’s vision is to improve the health and quality of life of Australians through nutrition and physical activity research excellence.

The Senior Research Fellow-Implementation Science will conduct research in the area of physical activity or nutrition promotion, with a focus on implementation science in one or more of these areas.  Examples of current project areas include: translation and implementation of efficacious interventions at scale in the population (e.g. school-based trials promoting physical activity and health; interventions promoting healthy eating and salt reduction); synthesis and translation of research evidence into recommendations for public health guidelines and food policy and practice; and studies to enhance understanding of the complex causal mechanisms that influence the translation and integration of evidence into practice in key settings (e.g. workplaces, health care, schools).
