Abstract: When it comes to health behavior change, there is ample evidence supporting the central role motivation plays in the adoption and maintenance of health-promoting behaviors. However, when it comes to developing interventions aimed at facilitating individual and group motivation, applying theoretical and evidence-based techniques can be a challenge. Researchers and intervention designers, can often lack clear, usable frameworks and methods for addressing motivational change processes that precede behavior.
This webinar will present theoretical underpinnings, frameworks and techniques for targeting motivational determinants and how to apply these tools to digital / technology-assisted interventions and beyond.
