Coventry University is investing significantly in research excellence, in our teaching and learning strategy, and in substantial campus estates development. We have developed our existing portfolio of research with impact to create a suite of new University and Faculty Research Centres that are integral to our vision for the University.

To support our growth and development, the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences would like to recruit THREE full time Research Associates for 3 year contracts commencing August 1st 2017.

The posts will all be based in the Centre for Technology Enabled Health Research which is a dynamic, dedicated research centre of over 30 research staff exploring solutions to improve health and wellbeing across the lifespan, conducting research that will empower children, young people, adults, their families and healthcare providers in disease prevention, management of health and independent living.

We have three research themes for this post:.

  • Behaviour and Interventions (in the area of intervention development and evaluation);
  • Children and Families (in the area of sick/complex health care needs) and
  • Innovation, Design and Technology (in the area of innovative digital health or health care technology)

We would like to recruit one post holder to each of the three themes but you will be expected to hold transferable skills and work across all our centre’s exciting and innovative speciality portfolio.

As a Research Associate we would expect you to hold a PhD, have a track record of seeking funding opportunities and undertaking self-managed projects, have good methodological expertise with an emphasis on: designing and conducting literature reviews; planning and managing data collection; analysing and interpreting research outcomes in report form; contributing to the preparation of proposals for new research projects, and disseminating research through publishing as lead author/co-author in peer reviewed journals and conference papers and contribute to CTEHR’s impact within a structured research environment. We would expect you to have solid publications in line with REF2020.

Please indicate within your application your choice of research theme.
