Tenure-track position (assistant professor)

Position
The College of Education at Wayne State University is pleased to invite
applications for a tenure-track position within the
Division of Kinesiology, Health and Sport Studies. 

We expect to make the appointment at the Assistant Professor level, but
will consider exceptional senior-level candidates with a strong track record of
peer-reviewed publications and external funding. Position start date is August
18, 2016. This position is a 9 month appointment.  Salary and rank for position commensurate
with qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities
The ideal candidate must: (a) indicate the development of a productive
research program or for senior faculty the maintenance of a productive research
program; (b) attract or have external funding; (c) supervise the thesis and
dissertation research of graduate students; (d) teach undergraduate and
graduate courses in the Division of Kinesiology, Health and Sport Studies; and
(d) contribute to division, college, university and professional service
activities.

Develop/maintain a productive
research program, publish scholarly work in peer-reviewed journals, seek
external funding opportunities, teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses,
and mentor graduate students.

The College of Education contains four divisions:
Administrative and Organizational Studies; Teacher Education, Theoretical and
Behavioral Foundations, and Kinesiology, Health and Sports Studies.
