This page was created to support the SIG leadership and to inform the membership about the SIG marketplace happening in ISBNPA2025.

We are happy to introduce the innovative ISBNPA Marketplace, an engaging platform designed to spotlight the diverse and dynamic Special Interest Groups (SIGs) within the ISBNPA community. Here’s a detailed overview of this activity.

1 What is the ISBNPA Marketplace?

The ISBNPA Marketplace serves as an interactive exhibition space where our Special Interest Groups (SIGs) can present their work, network with attendees, and attract new members. Strategically located near food service areas during Poster, Lunch, and Coffee breaks, this venue offers good opportunities for engagement.

The Marketplace will feature 4-6 tables staffed by SIG leaders ready to converse and connect with members. Additionally, digital screens will be available for SIGs to run presentations or videos showcasing their activities and achievements. To maintain a conducive environment for conversation, we recommend avoiding audio presentations.

2 Why Participate in the Marketplace?

The primary goal of the Marketplace is to elevate the visibility of SIG activities within our community, fostering increased membership recruitment and engagement. This initiative provides a unique opportunity for attendees to discover more about each SIG’s focus areas and contributions.

3 When Will It Happen?

The ISBNPA Marketplace will be active on June 12 and June 13 during:

  • Poster breaks (approx. 10:30am-11:30am; please verify exact timings in the program)
  • Lunch breaks (approx. 1pm-2pm)
  • Coffee break (approx. 4pm-4:30pm)

To ensure equal exposure for all SIGs, we’ll rotate their presence at tables and screens:
June 12 Schedule:
First 30 Minutes:

  • SIG Systems Science
  • SIG Mental Health and Wellbeing
  • SIG Young Adults
  • SIG Cancer Prevention and Management
  • SIG Children and Families
  • SIG Ageing
  • SIG Policies

Second 30 Minutes:

  • SIG Motivation and Behavior Change
  • SIG Participatory Research in Health Promotion
  • SIG Implementation & Scalability
  • Indigenizing Research Circle
  • SIG Early Care and Education
  • SIG Socioeconomic Inequalities
  • SIG e-& mHealth

June 13 Schedule: The order will reverse so that those who started first on June 12 will have second-slot visibility on this day.

4 Who Will Be There?

Each table should be staffed by one or two representatives from each participating Special Interest Group.

5 How Will It Work?

We encourage each participating Special Interest Group to harness creativity in planning their marketplace activities while adhering to logistical constraints—each group will have access to one table, one screen, and approximately 30 minutes per rotation.

Recommendations for an effective presence include:

  1. Prepare engaging conversations with colleagues.
  2. Develop a concise two-minute pitch explaining your group’s mission.
  3. Create a looping digital presentation (2–3 minutes) detailing your group’s initiatives.
  4. Direct interested individuals to join your group via our sign-up link.
  5. Collect contact information from potential leadership candidates using our form or another method that suits your needs.
