Abstract:
Many people struggle to translate their positive physical activity intentions into a stable pattern of behavior. In this Webinar, I overview critical constructs that determine the successful follow-through of intentions into behavior during the initial adoption of physical activity and subsequent sustainability of the behavior. These constructs are discussed in terms of current empirical and conceptual evidence using the multi-process action control (M-PAC) framework which highlights core reflective, regulatory, and reflexive processes and their subsequent behavior change techniques.
