Position Description

Kansas State University’s
Department of Human Nutrition seeks Department Head as a visionary leader to
strategically guide a dynamic team of faculty, staff and students during a
transformative period of growth for a multidimensional department with a global
presence.  This role is an excellent opportunity
to inspire a department to build ­new industry relationships, lead in exciting
directions for teaching, research, and outreach and to provide greater
opportunities to produce top graduates. The department includes graduate and
undergraduate programs in human nutrition, nutritional sciences, public health
nutrition, dietetics, athletic training, sensory analysis and consumer
behavior, and Extension and research recognized nationally and internationally.
The successful candidate must demonstrate competence in strategic planning to
support the
K-State
2025

goals of the College and University for academic excellence and
prominence.  Earned doctorate in one of the subject areas or related areas
is required with qualifications consistent with the rank of Professor or
Associate Professor with graduate faculty status.  Full-time,
tenured/tenure track 12-month appointment. Proposed starting date of July 1,
