Position Description

The University of Texas Health Science Center (UTHealth) School of Public Health in Austin Campus is expanding its multidisciplinary research program in school-based research, with a primary focus on obesity, nutrition, and/or physical activity in school-aged populations. We invite applications for a tenure-track, 12-month position at the Assistant Professor rank. The home department will depend on the interests and expertise of the applicant and fit with a department’s ongoing initiatives.  Competitive salary and start-up resources are available.

UTHealth School of Public Health is comprised of six campuses located across Texas: Austin, Brownsville, Dallas, El Paso, San Antonio, and Houston with a combined faculty of over 165 and over 1,700 graduate students. The UTHealth School of Public Health offers multiple master and doctoral degree programs. Students can take courses offered through all of the six campuses at the School using Telepresence or Webex, which enables interactive teaching across campuses and enhances collaborations among faculty and students.
