Position Description

The Department of Kinesiology (http://www.kin.hs.iastate.edu/) at Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa is seeking to hire a tenure-track assistant professor in the broad field of physical activity and health. The scope of this position encompasses scientists with an academic background in physical activity epidemiology, behavioral science or public health approaches to physical activity promotion.

Candidate’s Qualifications (who should apply)

This is a 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor position with an anticipated start date in August, 2020. Applications are invited from individuals with research interests in different settings and populations but priority will be given candidates with a focus on physical activity. Candidates must have completed the requirements for a doctorate by August 2020 in an appropriate area and have evidence of a focused research program as demonstrated by publication record. Two years of post-doctoral experience, involvement in seeking extramural funding, and college/university teaching experience are preferred, but all candidates who fulfill the above position requirements are encouraged to apply.
