Assistant/Associate Professor (Tenure Eligible)

We are seeking an
outstanding individual with expertise in
nutritional sciences and bio-behavioral research, broadly defined, to fill a
9-month (academic year), tenured/tenure-eligible position (80% research, 20%
instruction)
in the Department of Nutritional Sciences, College of
Agriculture and Life Sciences, the University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona, USA.

This is an excellent
opportunity to join a highly productive, innovative, and committed faculty
working to advance the science of nutrition. The Department of Nutritional
Sciences currently has 12 full-time faculty members. The Department also
supports 11 MS- and PhD-level Lecturers/Assistant Professors of Practice. The
graduate program is interdisciplinary and trains Master’s and doctoral
students, and provides research and teaching assistantships during early
program years. Support includes a USDA National Needs Fellows Training grant.

 

The University of Arizona is the state’s premier
research university and is ranked among the top 20 of public research
universities nationwide. UA Colleges of Agriculture and Life Sciences,
Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Public Health are co-located on the same
campus. Excellent opportunities exist for collaboration and interaction with
University faculty in these Colleges, the Bio5 Institute for Collaborative
Bioresearch, and several Centers of Excellence. Outstanding facilities and
services exist, with more than 60 research cores and shared services supporting
interdisciplinary research including the Genetics Core and Genomics shared
