The Physical Activity Epidemiology Group at the University of São Paulo (USP) opens the call for an opportunity for a Post-Doctoral Fellowship linked to the Thematic Project. The objective will be to investigate the relationship between the built environment in the vicinity of homes and workplaces with the leisure-time physical activities and active transportation, in a sample of an adult population in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. The project has already had two data collections (2014/2015 and 2020/2021) and will have a third collection in 2022.

The place of work of this fellow will be at the School of Arts, Sciences and Humanities at USP, São Paulo. The vacancy is open to Brazilian and foreign candidates who have received a Ph.D. degree in the country or abroad for less than seven years. Prior knowledge of agent-based modeling and cost-effectiveness analysis, analysis of epidemiological databases, biostatistics, multivariate analysis, multilevel analysis, as well as the ability to write scientific articles.

The fellowship will last for 24 months with exclusive dedication (40 hours/week) and with a monthly value of R$7,373.10 plus a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
