Associate or Full Professor of Ingestive Behavior

The Department of
Nutritional Sciences seeks applications for an investigator in the science of
ingestive behavior at the level of associate or full professor. The successful
candidate will be an established scientist who is dedicated to advancing the field
of ingestive behavior through innovative research, and with a record of
external funding. Applicants should have academic training in nutrition or a
related discipline (e.g., physiology, neuroscience, food science, biobehavioral
health, psychology, public health, bioinformatics) and have demonstrated
expertise in ingestive behavior.

Penn State has a long
history of excellence in ingestive behavior and the successful candidate will
complement existing expertise in this area. Currently funded studies focus on
satiety, neuroscience, eating and feeding behavior across the lifespan, energy
balance, physiology related to behavior, flavor perception, behavioral
genetics, and behavioral interventions. We plan to work with the successful
candidate to leverage our strengths and recent successes in obtaining funding
to enhance training in ingestive behavior at the undergraduate, graduate, and
post-doctoral levels. Candidates should emphasize any prior experience with
obtaining or managing training grants.
