Position Description

The principal aim of this post is to support the development and evaluation of a peer-led physical activity intervention in older adults, in accordance with a grant awarded by the National Institute of Health Research. The post will entail leading the development and implementation of the intervention protocol, and testing its feasibility and acceptability. This is a collaborative project and will entail qualitative and quantitative research. This temporary post is available immediately for up to 30 months.

Candidate’s Qualifications (who should apply)
1. First or Upper Second Class Honours Degree in a public health-related discipline (such as exercise science, social science,
psychology).
2. PhD in a public health-related area (such as exercise science, social science, psychology).
3. At least 2 years’ recent relevant postdoctoral research experience such as behaviour change interventions or physical activity
interventions.
4. Knowledge of public health research methods including methods of recruitment of participants to community delivered
interventions.
